The Waterford Historical Society was founded in 1965. The Society's collections of historical artifacts, photographs, books, and genealogical files are housed in the former Town House in Waterford Village.
The Society also maintains the Mary Gage Rice Museum, which contains implements necessary to village life in earlier days.
Twice a year, the Society publishes a newsletter, "Waterford Echoes," containing current news and highlights from Waterford's past.
